Chapter 15
Gunner
“What is it, Sweetheart? What did I do?” I cup her face in my as she wipes her tears with her hands and drawing herself back into my chest.
Her voice is muffled and broken from crying, but I manage to make out “perfect” and “love you” so I adjust my hold around her, soothing her and lightly kissing her head. As my heartbeat returns to normal, I roll off the bed; knowing I need to tend to her. Shushing her question, I pad to the bathroom and after quickly rinsing her blood and juices off my dick, I return with a partially wet towel and a spare.
“Here, Sweetheart, lay back.” I direct her, moving between her legs I gently wipe away our mixed creams and a smear of blood. I freeze, transfixed, as more of my cum slips from her body, my cock twitches again. So fucking hot knowing that there’s more of me inside her even now.
“There you go, Riley,” I say, dropping a quick kiss down to the narrow tuft of hair between her thighs. I shift her to a drier area of the bed, placing the other towel under her ass and covering us as I lay back beside her.
Riley
I’ve never felt so treasured in my life.
I knew from the day we met this is how he would treat me if I were his.
“I love you, Gunner.” I murmur as I drift off to sleep.
Early the next morning I awake to a softly snoring Gunner and the distant chirping of my phone. Disentangling myself, I grab his shirt as I walk to the front room to retrieve my phone from the purse I dropped near the door. Three missed calls from Gram, this can’t be good.
“Good Morning, Riley.” She answers on the first ring. “I trust you are well?”
“Yes, Gram. I saw you’ve been calling, is everything alright?” I ask while grabbing a Diet Coke from the fridge.
“Well, I had an interesting call this morning. Officer Kennelly, you know that busybody?” She pauses for acknowledgement.
“Yes, Gram? What happened?” I can’t imagine anything good coming from a call from him; he gives me the creeps.
“Well, it seems your parents have occasionally tasked him with keeping an eye out for you when they’re gone. Last night he was at the same restaurant as you and Alex…”
“Alex?”
“Gunner, Dear. Do keep up.” I suddenly feel like an idiot for not realizing Gunner wasn’t his given name. “He said he left a voicemail for your parents about you being in inappropriate company, then drove by the house this morning and saw that no one was home. Unable to reach them, he called me to see if you were with me.”
“Of all the nerve! How dare he go running around checking up on me!” I can’t help but yell, Gunner is instantly in the doorway of the bedroom looking concerned. “I haven’t had the chance to tell you, but Mother called to check up on me yesterday; she knows about me changing my major and the apartment.
